it is not a good idea to drive with a leaky brake system, period. If the leak is small you will prolly be OK tho. Just keep your right hand on the hand brake to use it if brakes fail :) Yes, you only need to replace master cylinder, NOT booster. Many ppl seem to say replace both slave cylinder(down on tranny) and master at same time, or the one you didn't replace will fail soon. Dunno how much truth there is to that tho. It is not a bad job to swap master cylinders, DIY and save. Mike
